I did a highly unusual thing and played DQ1 HD on my computer during my shift, which was honestly just kinda weird and I don't think I'm gonna do that again. I wound up just collecting mini medals during it. I didn't mention it yesterday but I played some more then too, up until the end of the Shrine of Rain, where the boss (the Goregoyle) is a pain in the ass. It hits hard and it also has Fizzle to keep you from healing, which makes it way harder than it needs to be because your only non-magic healing options are healing items (which are finite and I don't even know if you can get a good amount of special medicine at this point), miracle slash (which sucks in this game), and meditate. Meditate is locked behind 35 mini medals. There are 34 mini medals you can get before the Goregoyle. The 35th is literally locked directly behind him. Fuck you too, game. I think you can put him to sleep at least, but I haven't tried that yet.

I did play more Lancer too but there isn't much to talk about unfortunately. It took us two hours to get through 2 rounds of combat, but we're all learning the system so it's fine. It didn't feel like things were taking too long in the moment, but things should speed up as we get more used to it.
